Urothemis signata signata (Rambur, 1842)

The dark brown pigment at the base of the hind wing of Hong Kong material extends typically to the centre of the triangle and the golden pigment extends from two thirds to the entire length of the triangle. Prefers weedy ponds and slugish river. Male abdomen with black markings on segment 8 & 9 only.
